10 BEST Aesthetic Room Decor Finds

It has officially been one year since I moved to San Francisco. I vividly remember feeling nervous while heading to my tiny home to unpack. Prior to this moment, I had only seen the wooden floors and white crown molding through FaceTime, and now it feels like I’ve been here forever. Since then, my walls are less bare and the wooden floors are covered with a blue and grey rug with white detailing.

With each passing month, I continue to make this space a visual representation of what I love, and it’s somewhat healing. As a child, then broke college student, I didn't have disposable income to make my room into the space I imagined. Now things have changed. While this list of aesthetic room decor finds is to spark inspiration for your space, it’s also a glimpse into what has given me joy for many years, and likely, years to come.

Aesthetic Wall Art

The first aesthetic room decor find I’m recommending is colorful wall art. I love how magical digital paintings are so I bought a few prints from Etsy. These art prints are by the amazing Brittney Lee, a visual development artist at Walt Disney Animation Studios. You can find her artwork on Etsy and be sure to follow her on Instagram @brisketch. I also purchased this flower market poster from Karmen Art Prints on Etsy.

It’s very reminiscent of the Henri Matisse prints you’ve likely seen all over Pinterest, and the yellow and pinks add a nice pop of color to my otherwise blue apartment. I’ve opted for gold and silver picture frames with beautiful detailing from Art to Frames and I couldn’t be happier with how they complement each print. I tend to worry if the frame is the right size, but with this site, you simply enter the print size then choose the frame you want.

Candle Sticks

Not only do candles add a romantic ambiance to a room, they also double as aesthetic room decor. I have light grey spiral candle sticks (from Etsy of course) and wooden holders to complement the trim on my furniture. I’ve seen bent, ombre colored, and hand-painted candles sticks that add flair to any living space. You can also find brass holders, ceramic holders, and may personal favorite, colorful glass candle stick holders for your candles.

This is not necessary, but you can explore fun lighters online too. I have a standard lighter at the moment, small purchases like this can bring a lot of joy. This floral flip top lighter recently caught my eye and this strawberry chocolate bar lighter is perfect for those with a sweet tooth to match.

Orante Mirrors

I have both of the mirrors pictured on the left and I highly recommend adding something similar to your home. The first small ornate mirror is from a shop I found on Etsy (of course) and the floor length mirror is from Wayfair. I will say, consider buying a full-length mirror in person over online if you can. The first time I got my floor mirror, it arrived broken, and I was devastated, but quickly got a replacement. There are several reviews expressing the same experience so I recommend finding a dupe in stores.

Patterned Rugs

A patterned rug is a great way to add a pop of color to any room. You can swap them out when you’re feeling bored to create a new mood based on the color scheme. These two rugs for example, are both beautiful, but exude a different mood. The abstract diamond shag rug has pops of bright color and adds warmth while the Hayward brushed rug add coolness. Floor runners and entryway rugs are few others to consider placing in your home.

Aesthetic Vases

Consider adding a few creatively shaped vases to your home when you need aesthetic decor. I discovered this strawberry shaped vase from a post on instagram by As Told by Michelle.

Her home is full of aesthetic decor so definitely give her a follow to stay inspired. This strawberry vase and the orange juice carton vase are both available at Ban.do. They’re perfect if you love retro decor and statement pieces that will start a conversation. Drief flowers would look beautiful in these vases.

Decorative Pillows

Last but not least on my list of aesthetic room decor finds is decorative pillows. The variety of decorative pillows is vast so there’s something for nearly everyone. I tend to like boho style decor and started out with white macrame pillows paired with blue pillows with pom-poms on the sides.

While this works well for my grey couch, the colors in the flower market print inspired me to explore more colors. I recently added a round light pink pleated pillow (the same as the gold one pictured on the right) and a gold seashell pillow that beautifully matches the flower market print.

Floral Side Tables

A floral side table like the two pictured on the right is one of the many aesthetic items on my wishlist. They come in a variety of styles, shapes, and colors and you can find them across the web. The two pictured below are from Urban Outfitters, but there are so many others elsewhere. This pink flower side table I found on Etsy is adorable or you can build your own with the help of this DIY tutorial by A Beautiful Mess. This definitely seems like an advanced tutorial, but the end results are amazing!

Aesthetic Signs

I haven’t purchased an aesthetic sign for my apartment yet, but hopefully that will be my next piece. I found this amazing shop on Instagram by Valentina Bravo and she makes the most beautiful 3D business logos and name signs. Valentina’s sho, Party Graphic Signs, allows customers to get a custom name or business logo made completely from wood. Her designs are stunning and I can only imagine how beautiful these signs look in person.

I also recommend neon signs if you need some aesthetic wall art. This smiley face neon sign is eye-catching could add a cheerful vibe to a room. I think it would look great in an art studio or an office as a way to bring creativity to those spaces.

Unique Lamps

Table lamps can be really affordable and come in a variety of styles. I found the flower lamp while browsing Pinterest and think it would make a great addition to a colorful maximalist home. The retro glass lamp is from Urban Outfitters, a go-to store for aesthetic shopping. Urban Outfitters is a little overpriced to me, but this lamp is admittedly super cute. If anyone finds a cheaper version let me know!

Wall Decorations

I know I mentioned wall art earlier, but this time I wanted to share something besides pictures. A tapestry is an easy and affordable way to add color to your walls. They’re also great if you can’t paint your apartment. The Pom Pom daisy set is an adorable find from Etsy and would look great in a cute office. I think they’re technically for a nursery, but depending on the surrounding decor, it could still work.
